Die Behandlung von Patienten außerhalb der Praxisräume mit Reduzierung des Infektionsrisikos oder die digitale Erstellung von Patientenakten: Diese Vorteile machen die Telemedizin in Zeiten einer globalen Pandemie eigentlich zum Muss. Dennoch fehlt oftmals eine geeignete digitale Infrastruktur etwa in Krankenhäusern oder Kliniken – mit der Folge, dass telemedizinische Anwendungen noch nicht überall verbreitet sind. Eine neue Studie untersucht nun die Frage, welche Faktoren dazu führen können, dass die Zahl der Telemedizin-Anwendungen in Europas Krankenhäusern zunimmt.
Grüne Start-ups besser fördern
Die Stadt Straubing mit Umland ist seit mehreren Jahren als „Region der Nachwachsender Rohstoffe“ bekannt. Straubing wurde von der Bayerischen Staatsregierung im Rahmen der High-Tech-Initiative zusammen mit Weihenstephan sogar zum Zentrum für „Grüne Biotechnologie“ ernannt.
